Tree Planting Time

Each year our club honours a commitment to plant a large number of trees that are supplied to us by Hamilton City Council.

This coming Sunday, July 16th – we are going to try something a little different and we hope you can take a bit of time to help out!

Usually we clear scrub and weeds from an area and mass-plant over a couple of hours in the morning.  The plan this year is to plant out several smaller sections around the Gurney Trail (the 1st section you ride through from Maui St), and we are going to run it a bit more casual.

We invite you to come along during the day at your leisure and help us plant a few trees and grasses.  The trees will be placed out where they need to be planted from 10:00am. Track crew will be on hand to supervise.

Come along, share a bit of love for our Pukete track – even if it’s a single tree!

It’s our plan to make our tree planting a fun, casual family-friendly affair this year without the challenge of trying to get heaps of people out all at the same time.
